With Summertime officially kicking off in couple of weeks, it’s time to planning the Summer fun! I am so excited to share with you, Summerblast at Hilton Bonnet Creek! I have taken part of this last year and it was SPECTACULAR!

What is Summerblast?

It’s from May 27 to September 5. FULL of fun: golfing, pool hanging, sample exquisite foods, movies, mermaids and ducks!

It has 2 pool complexes and a three-acre lazy river, twelve dining outlets, luxurious spa services at the neighboring Waldorf Astoria Spa and golf on the 18-hole Rees Jones-designed course. I mean, I can’t think of a better place to relax after spending all day at the theme parks(which they are about 1 or 2 miles away).

Events taking place for Summerblast: (Some events will require additional fees)

Mermaid Academy (Fridays & Saturdays, weather permitting) Guests of all ages will have the opportunity to live the dream of becoming a mermaid or shark in this innovative and interactive class. ($)

Ducktona 500 – The Great Summer Blast! Duck Race (Saturdays, weather permitting) Guests can “adopt” a rubber duck during a race around Hilton Orlando Bonnet Creek lazy river pool. Winners receive a special prize. ($)

SummerBlast! Dive-In Movie Nights (Fridays and Saturdays, weather permitting) Families looking to end the night with a movie on the big screen, located poolside, can grab a lounge chair or relax while floating in the pool. SummerBlast! Pool Parties (Saturdays, weather permitting) Guests can celebrate summer in style, joining the crew for the summer’s hottest hits, games, entertainment, and special prizes.

SummerBlast! Pool Activities (Activities vary daily, weather permitting) The resort’s recreation team is ready to rock, making summer a blast for guests through a full schedule, including activities such as mini-football games, water basketball, float races, candy bingo, beach ball games, line dance fun, hula hoop games, pool relay games, etc.

SummerBlast! Arts and Crafts (Arts and crafts sessions vary daily, weather permitting) Kids love to bring home souvenirs. The recreation team is ready to help kids of all ages make something special to remember their visit. ($)

Kids Club Astoria After Dark: Kids Night Out (Fridays and Saturdays) Kids get to take a break from parents and enjoy an evening of kid-friendly fun, including scavenger hunts, surrey bike obstacle course, crafts, bingo, make-your-own pizza dinner, S’mores and more. A $50 discount will be applied to the Kids Club program fee for guests of Waldorf Astoria® Spa or Bull & Bear®. Reservations are required by 3 p.m., and may be made through the Concierge. ($)

Private Poolside Cabanas (Available daily) Guests can treat themselves to one of the hotel’s private cabanas, enjoying private lounge chairs and personalized service as the little ones partake in SummerBlast! pool activities. ($)

Spa Happy Hour (Fridays and Saturdays) Guests may extend the bliss of a spa treatment as they wind down with complimentary champagne and chocolate in the Waldorf Astoria Spa lounge. ($)

Savory Cupcake – Cupcake for lunch? MYTH Bar will feature a  “savory” entree cupcake  – the latest trend in cupcakes!

Why don’t you join me and book yourself and your family a weekend at the Hilton Bonnet Creek? It’s always been my go to for race events, and stay-cations. It has a super relaxing, long, lazy river you can float your way through. A fun slide, you can go down as many times as you want. Music, fun contests with prizes, tons of places to eat, golf, and a SPA!It also has a beautiful running trail that circles the area and resorts.
