As some of you may heard, runDisney has made it official. The Expedition Everest Challenge for May 2, 2015 will be the last. =( No rumors as of what will replace it, if anything but I will do my best to keep you in the loop.
Have you done the Everest Challenge before? Alpha and I have. We were actually TEAM ALPHA and we ran with a larger group of people. My favorite part was doing the scavenger hunt. After running the 5k through Animal Kingdom and going through the obstacles that weren’t difficult, we got our clues. We had to break codes, figure out puzzles, and find the answers to move on to reach the top of the summit and get out medals.
Registration opens December 16 at noon, but those who are AP holders or DVC members can register now through your account. There should be a link to follow through to perks, and special offers. Most Disney races tend to sell out so if you have your eye on doing this last expedition, I suggest you register asap.
