Star Wars Half Course

We are less than a month away from the most epic race weekend ever! I am just over the moon excited that FINALLY my two obsessions are finally joining forces….running and Stars Wars!

The event weekend will take place on April 14 to the 17. It will include a family 5K, 10K, and the half marathon. It does include a Dark Side Challenge (which of course I signed up for) where it’s completing both the 10K and the half marathon.

runDisney has also just released the course map for this inaugural weekend! It’s a new route and a new journey. Definitely uncharted territory into another planet.Will we be faced against the dark force? Will the jedi runners be strong enough to battle the Dark side? Only time will tell.

It also looks like the 10K course has also been changed from the other 10K courses from other runDisney events.

They both start near Epcot and both end near the ESPN Wide World of Sports. This may take some time to get used to but could certainly lessen the congestion within and around the course. I am excited for this new race weekend and new course map! Lots of new changes have been happening in all aspects of Walt Disney World. I am just hoping it’s all for the better!
