So I attended the Cigna blogger meet- up, during the Walt Disney World Marathon weekend. It was a lot of fun and we did a lot of “running” around. They did a Disney version of the Amazing race. We broke up into teams and we ran all over Disney’s Hollywood Studios. It was a scavenger hunt while trying to beat the other teams and learning about others way to stay healthy at the same time.
Our puzzles and riddles all pertained to health and ways to keep your body healthy. The best snacks, about your cholesterol, and how to keep your teeth clean! Yes it was some good healthy fun.

One thing that I did learn with this scavenger hunt is that you can have fun while be healthy and working up a sweat at the same time. Some people get annoyed or unmotivated with running. Or even see it as a chore at times and don’t really do it. But if you make it fun, or dress it up with a little adventure, you’ll see that being sweaty and getting your heart pumping is actually something that you will look forward to in your day.
If you look at Cigna‘s website, you can see that they have many different recipes and options to stay and eat healthy. I see it all the time and I know where to go because I am insured by them. But you can just go on there and look at their ideas and how they incorporate fun into your routine. And that is what they did for us at the Cigna blogger meet-up.
We were running around place to place. Trying to get as many clues and puzzles done as possible. The cold weather hadn’t hit yet so it was hot and extremely sunny. So that ridiculous thunderstorm that hit us, that runDisney appropriately cancelled the half marathon was arriving later.
But one thing was for sure, while we were out there…our brains were working, our hearts were pumping, we were jumping, wiggling, doing squats, yoga, trying to control our stress, and having fun at the same time. Well played Cigna, well played.
All in all, there are tons of ways to stay healthy and have fun. Look for tips and tricks online, follow bloggers like me 😉 there are tons of motivators out there that can help you stay motivated if you are trying to live a healthier lifestyle. Just remember to have FUN! Being healthy doesn’t have to be boring, know about the right foods to eat and you can make delicious dishes. Running isn’t the only way to break a sweat, get out there and play with the kids, get on the bikes, set a good example for them too. Life is already full of stress, so make yours fun and laugh! Besides….I hear it’s good for the abs 😉
